Welcome to Leviathan Guide Service!
If I'm not working, I'm on the Missouri River fishing for monster blue and flathead catfish. Trophy catfish. The kind of fish that make people afraid to swim in fresh water. I'm not picky, I'm as happy to reel in a trophy blue catfish as I am a monster flathead catfish. The only thing I enjoy more than catching and releasing these fish is helping someone else catch and release one.
In the spirit of those two pastimes I've decided to start the Leviathan guide service. I offer full service guided catfishing trips on the Missouri River as well as "check rides" and tours if you just want to get out on the longest river in the U.S. and see what it's like.
2010 Update
The 2010 season is off to a good start! Despite flood conditions on the Missouri and Kansas rivers we've boated some nice fish. So far this year I've put one guest on two 50 pound fish in the same trip and we've caught 3 fish over 30 pounds. I've caught several fish in the 30 and 40 pound range on my scouting trips as well.
I've updated the site with links to the National Weather Services river level prediction page and a calendar showing open dates so you can better plan your river fishing adventure.
Also, check out the "2010 fish" page to see the hogs that my guests and I have caught so far this year.
There's still a lot of fishing to be done this summer. Take a look around and set up your trip today!
We also offer custom aluminum fabrication for rod racks and other items you might need for your catfishing rig. I've even written a fishing database to help you track your catches and plan future fishing trips.
