If I'm not working, I'm on the Missouri River fishing for monster blue and flathead catfish. Trophy catfish. The kind of fish that make people afraid to swim in fresh water. I'm not picky, I'm as happy to reel in a trophy blue catfish as I am a monster flathead catfish. The only thing I enjoy more than catching and releasing these fish is helping someone else catch and release one.
Last year was a tough one! Flood conditions had the river closed most of the year and when it was open the high water made for tough conditions. The upside is that this year there will be lots of new structure and changes to the river to make the fishing interesting. It's been a long winter but with the warm weather fishing fever has hit and I'm ready to get on the water. Now is a great time to get your trip booked for this year!
