Adventures
We are a guide service licensed to charter you and your party for all of your fishing and recreational interests. We offer trips throughout the Moosehead and Katahdin Region as well as in the upper Sebasticook watershed.
All of our trips include a shore lunch, a photo CD from your trip and memories that will last a lifetime. Our rates are based on a full-day charter although half day charters are available upon request. We'll take you to the best location available based on your lodging or camping locale. Returning clients are entitled to preferred customer discount.
Services
Fly Fishing
Maine fishing is perhaps best known for its fine fly fishing for salmon and brook trout. Maine is home to over 95% of the United States' native brook trout waters, and no region has more trout fishing or better trout fishing in Maine than the Moosehead - Katahdin region. Maine fly fishing can also be effective for a variety of other species such as salmon, smallmouth bass, and stripers. Tell us what you want to land on a fly rod and we’ll do our best to give you the opportunity to make it happen.
Trolling
Leviathan Fishing offers a variety of trolling services. Our small pontoon boat is equipped with a variety of equipment, such as down riggers and out riggers, to help us locate more fish for you to catch in a shorter amount of time or go deep for the lunkers.
Ice Fishing
Leviathan Fishing has experience ice fishing all over the state of Maine. Depending on what you want to fish for and what adaptations you are willing to make to catch your query, we know of a fishing hole that will provide you with the fishing experience you are looking for.
Smallmouth Bass & Striper Fishing
Let us take you fishing for smallmouths on the Penobscot or on some of the area’s beautiful lakes. We also offer striper charters on the Kennebec when in season.
Wading or Canoe Trips
We offer guided trips on some of the regions spectacular rivers which offer not only peace, relaxation, and the scenic tranquility Maine is fabled for, but also terrific fishing for salmon and trout. Bring your family, bring your camera, but most importantly – bring your fish pole! Trips available by canoe, raft, or float tube.
Regional Tours
We’d be happy to take you on a tour of this pristine region of Maine. We’re flexible: if you want to hike to some of the scenic vistas in the area, we’ll take you there. If you want to cover more ground and drive the area for views, wildlife, or foliage, we’ll take you there.
Moose & Wildlife Safaris
The Highlands Region of Maine that is the Moosehead Lake and Katahdin area is one of the best places to see Maine’s legendary moose. Whether we’re on foot, on the water, or in the car, the opportunities to see these creatures are abundant. Join us and get a photo of your Maine moose – up close and personal!
2019 Rates
* FLY FISHING rates are for rivers/streams nearest to your location within our service area(s). Fishing of remote ponds may be subject to an additional 10% charge due to access requirements.
** CANOE TRIP rates are for guided canoeing, access to fishing gear and are applicable to the closest navigable water to your overnight location within our service area(s). Canoeing takes precedent to fishing for guided canoe trips.
*** OVERNIGHT CAMPING rates do not include guided fishing services. Guided fishing arrangements can be made for an additional $100 per day.
**** ALL RATES subject to change at any time. Most rates are for a full day (8 hours) charter beginning at the time of arrival on charter location. Half-day rates (4.5 hours) are available for most services at a 70% the cost of full-day rates. Alternative or specific requests can be accommodated but may be subject to additional cost to cover overhead requirements. Inquire for details.
ADDITIONAL CHARTER HOURS can be added to the 8 hours allocated to your charter at a flat rate of $40 per hour. This will be assessed by the nearest half hour interval.
